Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Dhyan Gold. By visiting our branches, using our website, or availing of our gold buying and pledged gold release services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before initiating any transaction.

1. General Eligibility

  • Age Requirement: Customers must be at least 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act.
  • Ownership:You must be the absolute owner of the gold/jewellery offered for sale, or the gold must belong to your spouse or parents with their full knowledge and consent. We do not accept gold belonging to third parties (friends, neighbors, or distant relatives).

2. KYC & Documentation Verification

  • Mandatory Government-issued Photo ID (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License) and address proof must be provided before any evaluation or transaction.
  • Original purchase invoices/bills must be produced wherever available.
  • In case of pledged gold, the original pledge receipt issued by the bank or financial institution is strictly required.

3. Purity Testing & Valuation

  • Purity Evaluation: Gold testing is conducted using non-destructive German XRF technology or melt-testing in the customer’s presence.
  • Deductions: Valuation is calculated purely on the net gold weight and purity. The weight of stones, enamel, beads, wax, or non-gold attachments will be deducted.
  • Market Rates: Gold payout prices are based on prevailing live market rates at the exact time of transaction approval.
  • Non-Destructive Testing Authorization: By submitting your gold for evaluation, you authorize Dhyan Gold to perform non-destructive purity testing. If melt-testing is required, it will only proceed with your explicit consent.

4. Pledged Gold Release Service

  • Loan Clearance: Dhyan Gold acts as a facilitating partner to pay off your outstanding loan with banks or finance companies to retrieve pledged gold.
  • Representative Authorization: You authorize our representative to accompany you to the financial institution and settle the due amount on your behalf.
  • Pledge Receipt Owner Presence: The individual named on the pledge receipt must be physically present with valid photo ID during the release and subsequent sale process.
  • Transaction Fee & Shortfall:
  • A standard service fee (e.g., 3% transaction fee) applies to processing and service costs.
  • If you choose not to sell your gold after Dhyan Gold releases it from the lender, you must reimburse the full release amount paid to the lender plus a 5% gold release service charge.
  • If the final tested value of the retrieved gold is lower than the loan clearance amount paid, you are liable to pay the difference amount immediately.

5. Payments & Payouts

  • Payments are made instantly upon final valuation approval via Cash (subject to statutory limits) or immediate online bank transfer (IMPS/NEFT/UPI).
  • Once the payout is issued and accepted, ownership of the gold transfers completely to Dhyan Gold, and the transaction cannot be cancelled, reversed, or refunded.

6. Anti-Fraud & Legal Compliance

  • Dhyan Gold strictly adheres to anti-money laundering (AML) guidelines and local law enforcement regulations.
  • Any attempt to sell stolen, fake, or illegally acquired gold will be reported immediately to law enforcement authorities along with the customer’s submitted KYC details and CCTV footage.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • Dhyan Gold is not liable for delay in pledged gold release caused by banking delays, server outages, or procedural holds enforced by financial institutions.
  • All valuations are valid only for the duration of the branch visit on the date of testing.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with transactions at Dhyan Gold shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
